Hourly Hire
Hourly hire is the answer whenever the day has more than two stops and no reliable sense of when each one will end.
Quoted individually. Share the outline and we reply with a written price — no rate card, no obligation.
You reserve the chauffeur and the vehicle for a block of time, and within that block the itinerary is yours to change. Add a stop, drop one, sit in the car for twenty minutes to finish a call before going in. There is no per-journey charge accumulating in the background and no negotiation about whether an extra address counts as a new booking.
The car staying with you is the practical benefit. Shopping goes into the boot rather than around your wrists. An umbrella lives in the door. Between an appointment in Marylebone and dinner in Chelsea you have somewhere warm and quiet to sit rather than an hour to fill in a hotel lobby. In London weather, that alone tends to justify the arrangement.
Most hourly bookings carry a minimum duration, which we confirm in writing when we quote, and additional hours can usually be added on the day if the evening runs long. Where a booking is going to take you well outside the city, we will normally suggest a full-day rate instead and tell you plainly which works out better.
It suits medical appointments, viewings, a day of meetings, a theatre evening, a wedding party moving between two venues, and any occasion where the honest answer to how long you will be is that you genuinely do not know yet. It is also the arrangement we suggest most often to people who have never used a chauffeur before, because it is the easiest to judge: book three hours, see how the afternoon goes, and extend if it suits.

Why Luxury Chauffeurs
01
The block runs from your first collection to your final drop, and the start time and duration are confirmed in writing before you commit to anything.
02
We will tell you if three hours is not enough for the afternoon you have described, because an under-booked block is the one thing that spoils this arrangement.
03
The same hourly block can be taken in a saloon, a people carrier or something considerably grander, and we will say which suits the afternoon you have planned.
04
Hourly bookings usually carry a mileage allowance, and we set out what it is at the quotation stage rather than mentioning it afterwards if the day ranges further.
At a Glance
Stops can be added, dropped or reordered inside your booked block without renegotiating the arrangement.
A warm, quiet cabin between appointments beats a hotel lobby and costs you nothing extra in an hourly booking.
Additional hours can usually be added while you are out, subject to the chauffeur's availability and driving hours.
Local Knowledge
Estimating is the skill, and most people underestimate. Count the time inside each appointment, add the driving between them, then add a third. London traffic and the walk from a legal stopping place to an actual front door absorb far more of an afternoon than anyone expects. If you finish early, you simply finish early; if you run out of booked time in the middle of a schedule, the whole thing becomes awkward.
Hourly hire assumes you stay within a broad area, and most bookings carry a mileage allowance to reflect that. Three hours spent moving between Chelsea, the City and Marylebone uses almost no distance. Three hours that includes a run to Windsor and back uses a great deal, and is usually better quoted as a half day. Describe roughly where the afternoon will range, not only how long it will last, and the quotation will be the right shape from the start.
Work out the comparison honestly. Two point-to-point journeys are usually the cheaper answer; four are usually not, once each one carries its own waiting and its own arrival. Somewhere around the third stop the arithmetic turns, and it turns sooner when the gaps between stops are short. One last practical point: the block starts at the time you booked, not the time you come downstairs, so build your own getting-ready into it.

Four Steps
Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.
01
Send the date, the addresses and the shape of the day on WhatsApp, or use the journey planner. There is no obligation and no card details are taken to get a price.
02
You receive a written quotation covering the vehicle, the timings and everything included — no estimates that move later, and no surge pricing.
03
On confirmation a vehicle and a named professional chauffeur are assigned to your date, and the terms are put in writing.
04
Briefed on the route, the access and the waiting arrangements before the day, so nothing is decided at the kerb.
Included as Standard
Quoted as one price. No hidden extras added at the end of the journey.

Corporate & Business
A morning of back-to-back meetings in one city is the classic case for booking a chauffeur by the hour. Four addresses within a couple of miles of each other produce a great deal of stopping and very little driving, which is exactly the pattern that separate transfers handle badly. The car becomes the place you sit between them, which is worth more than the driving itself.
For companies it is also the simplest thing to approve. One block of hours, quoted once, invoiced once, with a reference on it, instead of a scattering of individual journeys that have to be matched up afterwards. Where a visitor is being hosted for a day, an hourly booking lets whoever is looking after them change the plan without going back to the office for permission each time.
Who We Drive
Anyone with a clinic visit, a fitting and a school pickup in the same afternoon, where the only certainty is that none of them will finish on time.
Buyers and agents seeing four flats across three postcodes, with a car to sit in between them and somewhere to leave the paperwork.
Guests in London for two days who want to see a great deal, stop when something looks interesting, and not think about the Underground at all.
Couples and small groups going to dinner, then on somewhere else, who would like the decision about how to get home made several hours in advance.
Events & Occasions
Hourly hire suits the occasions that have a beginning but no reliable end. A christening lunch that turns into an afternoon, a birthday dinner that moves on somewhere, a milestone anniversary where the older guests want to leave early and everyone else does not. Two blocks in one evening, one for the arrival and one later for the departures, is a common and sensible way to arrange it.
It also works for the parts of an occasion nobody plans. Somewhere for a bride to sit before the photographs, a warm car for grandparents while the group is still on the church steps, or a discreet exit for someone who has had enough of a party. Tell us who is likely to need the car and when, and the chauffeur will know without anybody having to explain on the night.

Airports
Met in arrivals with a name board, luggage carried, and departures planned around your check-in.
Popular Journeys
Quoted door to door as a single movement, including the return leg and any waiting in between.
Timing & Availability
Daytime hourly bookings are among the easiest things to arrange quickly, and a weekday afternoon can often be covered within a few hours of asking. Evenings are a different matter. Between six and eight, and again around eleven, demand across London concentrates sharply, so a booking that spans both ends of an evening should be placed several days ahead rather than on the day.
December is the month to plan for. Party season fills weekday evenings as thoroughly as weekends, and the fortnight before Christmas is the hardest time of year to add hours at short notice. The same applies to the evenings around major matches, awards ceremonies and West End first nights. Where an evening is likely to run long, reserving the extra hour at the outset costs less trouble than trying to find it at midnight.
Professional Chauffeur Standards
What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.
Every chauffeur is licensed, insured and vetted before they drive for us. They are briefed on your journey in advance and dressed for the occasion.
Vehicles carry no branding. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and what is discussed in the back of the car stays there.
Current-generation cars, valeted before every journey, with still water and charging in the rear compartment.
The same person handles your enquiry, your quotation and your booking, so nothing is explained twice.

Where We Travel
London is where most of our work begins, but a chauffeur can be arranged to and from any address in the United Kingdom.
