Marylebone sits between Oxford Street and Regent's Park, with Marylebone High Street running through the middle of it and the medical practices of Harley Street, Wimpole Street and Devonshire Place filling the streets to the east. Manchester Square holds the Wallace Collection; Chiltern Street has become a small destination of its own. It feels like a neighbourhood rather than a shopping district, and the people we carry are often here for something personal — a consultation, a treatment, a quiet lunch afterwards.

Marylebone Road is a red route and the northern boundary of the congestion charge zone, so it can be driven along freely but never stopped on. Harley Street and Wimpole Street are lined with permit and pay bays that fill early, which is why we tend to hold the car on the quieter cross streets — Devonshire Street, Weymouth Street, New Cavendish Street — and return to the door. Marylebone High Street has short-stay bays, though they are rarely free at midday.

The medical work is the defining pattern here. A consultation may run over, a procedure may leave a passenger tired and slow, and neither is compatible with standing at a kerb hoping for a taxi. Beyond that, Marylebone High Street and Chiltern Street draw people for shopping and lunch, Regent's Park is on the doorstep through the summer, and Marylebone station handles the Chiltern line towards Bicester, Oxford and the Midlands.

Heathrow from Marylebone is usually 45 to 75 minutes via the Westway or the A4, and the Westway route is the quicker of the two outside the morning peak. Luton is typically 55 to 90 minutes up the A5 corridor or the M1. Gatwick runs 65 to 105 minutes. St Pancras for the Eurostar is ten to twenty-five minutes east, which makes Marylebone an easy base for a Paris or Brussels morning.

Why Luxury Chauffeurs

Why Clients Choose Us for Marylebone

  • 01

    No hurry afterwards

A consultation on Devonshire Place can finish twenty minutes late or an hour late. Either way the car is exactly where it said it would be.

  • 02

    Help at the door

Doors opened, an arm offered where it is wanted and none where it is not. After a procedure that courtesy matters more than the badge on the bonnet.

  • 03

    Complete confidentiality

We do not discuss where we have taken anyone, and we do not need to know why you are going. That applies to every address in W1G.

  • 04

    Northbound without the crowds

From Marylebone the Westway, the M1 and the M40 are all reachable without touching Oxford Street, which is why journeys north and west start well here.

At a Glance

Marylebone

  • Medical appointment waiting

The car is held on a nearby street for as long as the appointment takes, then comes to the door when you are ready.

  • Unhurried arrivals

A chauffeur who helps you in and out without fuss matters more on Harley Street than almost anywhere else.

  • Quick to the Westway

Heathrow and the M40 are both reached without crossing the West End at all.

Local Knowledge

Streets, bays and appointments

Marylebone is a grid with one curve in it. Marylebone Lane wanders across the pattern, following the line of a buried river, and it catches out drivers who expect a right angle. Portman Square, Bryanston Square and Montagu Square sit to the west; Portland Place runs wide and straight from Langham Place up towards the park. Baker Street and Gloucester Place no longer work as the one-way pair many drivers remember.

Kerbside near the consulting rooms is the tightest in the district, which is why we look one street out rather than one door away. Nottingham Place, Beaumont Street and the top of Marylebone Lane can usually take a car; the underground car park at Cavendish Square takes the rest. Oxford Street is restricted to buses and taxis along stretches of it, so we cross it rather than travel along it.

The medical streets are busiest between eight and ten and again in the middle of the afternoon, as appointment blocks end together. Marylebone High Street draws a crowd at lunchtime and on Saturdays, when the farmers' market is on. Regent's Park is reached through Clarence Gate or York Gate, and the Outer Circle is a pleasant route that becomes a slow one whenever the open-air theatre has a matinee.

Four Steps

How Booking Works

Chauffeur booking with us is a conversation rather than a checkout. Every journey is priced individually.

  1. 01

    Tell us the journey

Send the date, the addresses and the shape of the day on WhatsApp, or use the journey planner. There is no obligation and no card details are taken to get a price.

  2. 02

    We quote in writing

You receive a written quotation covering the vehicle, the timings and everything included — no estimates that move later, and no surge pricing.

  3. 03

    The car is held

On confirmation a vehicle and a named professional chauffeur are assigned to your date, and the terms are put in writing.

  4. 04

    Your chauffeur arrives

Briefed on the route, the access and the waiting arrangements before the day, so nothing is decided at the kerb.

Corporate & Business

Working days in W1U

Marylebone's offices are small and scattered, with practices, agencies, consultancies and studios occupying the upper floors of ordinary buildings. That means no reception forecourt and no reserved bay, so a chauffeur hire in Marylebone works best when the set-down point is agreed rather than assumed. From here the City is twenty-five minutes on a good morning and rather more on a normal one.

The other business pattern is the outbound one. Marylebone is a good place to leave from: the Chiltern line runs north-west, the Eurostar terminal is a short hop east, and the motorways are close. For a day of meetings in Birmingham or Oxford we would often drive rather than change trains twice, and the car doubles as an office in both directions.

Who We Drive

Who Travels with Us for Marylebone

  • Patients and companions

People attending the clinics and consulting rooms of W1G, often accompanied, and usually needing the return journey to be flexible rather than fixed.

  • Overseas medical visitors

Families travelling to London for treatment, who want one arrangement covering the airport, the hotel, the appointments and the days in between.

  • Recital and gallery goers

Evening audiences for the chamber concerts on Wigmore Street and visitors to the collection on Manchester Square, both of which end at a predictable hour.

  • Media and studio clients

Broadcasting runs along Portland Place, and the people it brings in need collecting early, waiting through a recording and returning whenever the session finally wraps.

Events & Occasions

Lunches, recitals and small celebrations

The pleasant version of a Marylebone day is unhurried: a morning in the shops on Chiltern Street, lunch on the high street, an hour in the park and a recital in the evening. None of that needs a car in the middle, which is exactly why holding one by the hour suits it. You walk the parts worth walking and ride the parts that are not.

Celebrations here tend to be small and civilised rather than grand: a birthday dinner, a christening at one of the parish churches, an anniversary that ends at the theatre. We time the arrival so nobody stands about in the cold and the departure so nobody waits for a taxi at half past eleven. Weddings are planned around the narrow streets, not through them.

Timing & Availability

Clinic hours and lead time

The morning peak arrives early because the clinics do, and the Marylebone Road is slow in both directions from about half seven until well after nine. Midday is the easiest window of the working day. Autumn and the weeks after New Year are the busiest medical periods, and December evenings compete with everything else happening in the West End.

Give us the appointment time rather than the time you would like to leave, and we will work the collection out from it. For treatment days we would rather block a longer period than guess at a finish. Regular patients often keep a standing weekly booking, which removes the arranging entirely; one-off journeys are usually available with a day or two's warning.

Professional Chauffeur Standards

The Standard We Hold

What a premium chauffeur service should mean in practice, rather than in a brochure.

  • Vetted professional chauffeurs

Every chauffeur is licensed, insured and vetted before they drive for us. They are briefed on your journey in advance and dressed for the occasion.

  • Discretion by default

Vehicles carry no branding. Your chauffeur speaks when spoken to, and what is discussed in the back of the car stays there.

  • Immaculate vehicles

Current-generation cars, valeted before every journey, with still water and charging in the rear compartment.

  • One point of contact

The same person handles your enquiry, your quotation and your booking, so nothing is explained twice.
