The Dartford crossing at Junctions 30 and 31 of the M25 is the single biggest variable in any journey from Grays. The southbound tunnels restrict high-sided vehicles and the northbound bridge closes in high winds, at which point everything is funnelled through the tunnels and the queues build for miles.
