For the rest of the year the practical detail is the A24 through Ewell and the A240 towards Kingswood, both of which queue in the evening peak, and junction nine of the M25 at Leatherhead, which is the pinch point for anything Gatwick bound. Heathrow traffic is usually better served by the A3 through Esher before eight in the morning. Epsom Downs is unlit and used by training gallops at first light, so early collections there are taken steadily.
