The M606 is a short spur from Junction 26 of the M62 and the fastest way in and out of the south of the city, but it ends abruptly at Staygate and hands you to the ring road. Northbound in the evening and towards Chain Bar in the morning are the two reliable slow points. The A650 towards Bingley and the A647 to Leeds are the alternatives, and the A6177 is quicker in some hours and considerably worse in others.
