Saturday and Sunday around the station market are the busiest hours of the Tynemouth week, and the streets nearest Front Street effectively close to through traffic by the weight of people. We set down on Percy Park Road or one of the terraces behind it and walk the last stretch, which is quicker than any attempt at the front.
