The City's weekday curve is unusually sharp here. Between eight and ten the streets around Moorgate are dense and the kerbs are taken by deliveries; by half past seven in the evening the same streets are quiet enough to collect from a doorway. Availability in the capital is deeper than anywhere else in the country, so short-notice requests are frequently workable, even the same day. The exceptions are the obvious ones: December evenings, the days of a major sporting or state occasion, and any Saturday in the wedding season.
