The airport sits some eighteen miles north-west of Belfast near Aldergrove, reached along the A57 and the M2. It is the longer of the city's two airport drives, and in the dark or in heavy rain it is not a road to hurry along. Your chauffeur allows for that in both directions, so the timing holds whether you are leaving at six or landing close to midnight.

In heavy rain or fog, none of these is a road to make up time on.
Ground transport thins out quickly away from the city, which is why so much of our work here is the onward leg rather than the airport itself. The north coast, the Glens, Enniskillen and the Mournes are all a proper drive, and Dublin Airport is a familiar cross-border run when the schedule there suits better. Early departures leave in the small hours, and at that time the M2 gives you the journey the map promises rather than the one the rush hour delivers.

The busiest stretches are the July fortnight, the weeks either side of Christmas and the summer wedding season, when Saturdays go first and the larger vehicles go before anything else. Big events on the north coast can empty the region of available cars for a weekend. Away from those, availability is generally good and short-notice requests midweek are often met without difficulty.
Hours are rarely a problem. Charters land late and leave early, and collections at either extreme are treated as normal rather than as a favour. What helps is knowing the destination when you enquire, since a run to Enniskillen or Portrush needs a very different collection time from one into central Belfast.
