The motorway through Glasgow can crawl at the wrong hour and the airport spur narrows when it is busy. One terminal and one arrivals hall make the meeting simple: your chauffeur is standing in front of you rather than somewhere in a car park. On a European flight, twenty-five to forty minutes from landing is a fair expectation; the North American arrivals, which reach Glasgow in a group during the afternoon, take longer because immigration handles several aircraft at once. We build the collection around the published arrival time with that difference already allowed for.
The airport spur leaves the M8 at junction 28, which puts the terminal a few minutes from Paisley and a short run from the city. The motorway itself is the complication rather than the distance: the stretch through Glasgow and across the Kingston Bridge crawls at peak, and there is no useful parallel route once you are committed to it. Heading north and west, the Erskine Bridge is usually the better line than doubling back through the city.
Set-down sits a few steps from the entrance and attracts a fee for pulling up, with a cheaper drop area further out that costs you the walk instead. Note that Prestwick is a separate airport some distance down the coast, and confusing the two is an expensive mistake, so we confirm the airport as well as the terminal. First departures leave before the motorway wakes, which makes an early collection the least eventful of the lot.

Glasgow's peaks follow the Scottish school holidays, the summer golf weeks in Ayrshire and the fortnight around New Year, when the whole west of Scotland seems to travel at once. Larger vehicles for groups and equipment are committed earliest. Midweek dates in autumn and early spring are comparatively open, and a booking made within the week is often achievable.
For a long onward journey we would rather have notice, simply because the right vehicle and a chauffeur who knows the road are worth arranging properly. If a flight slips or a plan changes while you are travelling, send a message and we will rework it; the waiting time on arrivals is planned generously and any extension is agreed with you first.
