On the biggest exhibition days the Royal Docks operate as a single traffic system. Victoria Dock Road, Seagull Lane and the Connaught roundabout all queue from late morning, and the eastern approach along Royal Albert Way from Beckton is usually the freer of the two. Departures are worse than arrivals; when a hall empties, the roads take an hour to recover. We collect from a point away from the main exits and let you walk two minutes rather than sit for twenty.

Away from event days this is one of the easiest corners of London to drive. Connaught Road runs straight to the airport terminal, the Lower Lea Crossing reaches Canary Wharf in a matter of minutes, and the A13 handles everything further out. The only reliable constraint is the Connaught Bridge, which lifts for dock traffic without warning; your chauffeur allows for it on any journey with a flight or a train at the end of it.
